Finally finished Cathedral!

I didn't think I'd ever finish that book, Cathedral by Nelson DeMille, although a good one, I curse the editor for not cutting it down some. Can't blame the author, he probably thinks he needs every word, even the ones they probably cut. An editors job is to cut out the stuff that's unnecessary but who ever edited this one seemed as in love with all the words as the author. The ending was rather anticlimactic and it seemed to go on forever but overall a good read or I should say listen since it was the audio book. I just love Scott Brick as narrator.

Lists

So here are some of the audio books I picked up from the library the other day. I'm still not finished with Cathedral so I'm not sure how many of these I'll actually listen to. Thankfully some of the ones I ordered I'd already listened to or read so I put them back. There are still about 10 more on order! Oh well, it's nice to have choices. :-)

The Keepsake by Tess Gerritsen, read by Deirdre Lovejoy
The Whole Truth by David Baldacci, read by Ron McLarty
Blasphemy by Douglas Preston, read by Scott Sowers
Night Kills by John Lutz, read by Scott Brick
Heat Lightning by John Sandford, read by Eric Conger
TailSpin by Catherine Coulter, read by Joyce Bean and Paul Costanzo
Devil Bones by Kathy Reichs, read by Barbara Rosenblat
Word of Honor by Nelson DeMille, read by Scott Brick
The Night Stalker by James Swain, read by Richard Mover

Craziness

I picked up the audio books I'd ordered...the ones from the other night when I thought I was just making my wish list for future reading. Out of the 11 there was one I'd already listened to so I put that one back. Now that it's only 10 audio books, I'm golden....well, not really. I'm thinking of sampling them to see which ones I really want to listen to and return the rest. Not way I can listen to that many in 3 weeks time.

To help me keep track, I'm going to post reviews as I finish reading or listening. This will help me so I won't check out something I've already read or listened to...unless of course I want to read again of course but frankly, that doesn't happen too often.

I'm feeling lousy so I'll post the reading list tomorrow.

One more crazy book love!

Two more books to add to the list...these are next in line on the audio book list.

Unfit to Practice by Perri O'Shaughnessy, read by Laural Merlington
Midnight Cab by James W. Nichol, another one read by Scott Brick...as you know one of my very favorite narrators.

Ok, I'm crazy, I went online with the library yesterday and couldn't stop clicking on books I want to read...trouble is, I ordered them instead of put them on my 'To read' list...now I have 11, count them, 11 audio books to pick up from the library TODAY. Yes, I admit it, I'm a little nuts when it comes to audito books and real books. I normally have 2 - 3 audio books and 3 - 4 real books going at the same time...not to mention all the reading I'm doing in school...so shoot me already, is it a crime to love to read or listen. No, I don't think so!

You know, I'm new at this blogging thing, but maybe in a while I'll actually create a blog or two that people want to read... :-) I hope so...later gater.

Just Another Book Lover

Like I need another blog! Must be insane to begin another blog but then again, this one will just cover the books I'm reading or want to read. I'm in school so don't get through as many books as fast I normally do but having a long commute and the ability to listen to audio books helps.

Currently listening to:

Nelson DeMille's Cathedral, narrated by one of my all time favorites, Scott Brick. It's really good, but then again I like DeMille.

Currently reading:

Bone Cold by Erica Spindler - just started so can't really comment on this one yet.

PLEASE NOTE: ~If you happen on this blog, please use the comment function and make suggestions for future reading.~
